Kings XI Punjab made some changes in batting order promoting Wriddhiman Saha top of the order had made the trick for Kings XI Punjab. Saha opened the innings along with Martin Guptill had a brisk start for Kings XI. Saha was scoring all around the ground and Guptill playing his mark aggressive cricket. This opening duo went on to score 68 runs for the first wicket. Guptill was out for 36 runs off 18 balls;( 5x4s, 1×6).

After Guptill wicket, Captain Glen Maxwell started things fast. He continued his form and went on the bowlers hitting huge sixes and scored 47 runs off just 21 balls;(4×2, 5×6).
While Wriddhiman Saha kept his cool and was scoring runs for his team even though wickets were falling on another end. Saha was scoring boundaries comfortable all around the ground. He remained 96 not out off just 55 balls;(11x4s, 3×6) saha missed his century by just four runs. At the end, Shaun Marsh & Axar Patel fireworks helped Kings XI Punjab to score the highest team total of this year IPL.
Brisk Start by MI openers
LMP Simmons & PA Patel started things well both openers were very confidence and scoring runs at the great rate. Both went on to score 99 runs for the first wicket in just 8.1 overs. Simmons scored 59 runs off just 32 balls;(5x4s,4×6) and Parthiv Patel 38 runs off 23 balls. This opener almost took the half the match on their way. Unfortunately, they could not stand after 10 over’s. Rohit Sharma went out for Tewatia leg spin just for five runs. Tewatia impressed once again.
Pollard & Pandya raining Sixes
Pollard and Pandya went under pressure situation to bat after two quick wickets but this duo is fearless they butchered MJ Henry bowling with four sixes. Pollard hit first two balls for sixes and then its pandyas turn to repeat the same feat. Pandya too hited two consecutive sixes of Henry bowling. When Pandya was looking good with two more sixes to his account went out at 30 runs off just 13 balls with four sixes.
Kieron Pollard who was in great touch in this Season IPL was so determined to win this match for his team. One end wickets were falling other end Pollard took the responsibility of the match.
