RCB didn’t meet the expectations

RCB batsman once again disappointed home crowd and manage to score134 runs in 20 overs.

RCB openers’ Virat Kohli & Chris Gayle went out in very quick time.  Young new talent Basil Thampi once again proved his caliber by sending Virat Kohli for just 10 runs.

Andrew Tye breaks RCB top order

It was Andrew Tye who took two wickets in two consecutive balls, first was Chris Gayle who became scalp of this bowler given a catch to wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik and the next ball Travis Head went out for Tye for no runs.

Outstanding fielding by Jadeja

It was AB De Villiers who was looking for a run and became a scalp of an outstanding field effort by Ravinder Jadeja.

Kedar Jadhav & Pawan Negi saved RCB

It was Kedar Jadhav & Pawan Negi who scored double figures in the team and saved the RCB from one more disaster batting performance. Kedar went on scoring 31 runs off 18 balls; (4x4s, 1×6) and bowled out by Jadeja.  Pawan Negi’s quick 32 runs off 19 balls; (3x4s, 2×6) and went out debutant Ankit Soni.  And at the end, Aniket Choudhary valuable 15 runs helped RCB to achieve and a respectable total of 134 runs. Gujarat Bowlers had overcome what Raina was afraid of in previous games they bowled well and were picking up regular wickets not allowing any batsman to stay for a long time which helped them to bowl out RCB for a small total.

Openers Ishan Kishan & McCollum went out cheaply for Samuel Badree.

Hard hitting –Aaron Finch

It was one man show Aaron Finch who was unstoppable from the ball one. He was scoring all over the ground hitting sixes and fours while Captain Raina was rotating strike and giving back to Finch. Finch went on scoring super fast 72 runs off 34 balls;( 5x4s, 6x6s) & Suresh Raina 34 runs off 30 balls (4x4s, 1×6).

Gujarat Lions won the match comfortably by registering their win 13.5 overs still remaining 6.1 balls to spare.
