RPS openers Ajinkya Rahane & Rahul Tripathi once again gave the best start for RPS.
Both added 65 runs partnership for the first wicket so far this is the best opening partnership in this season for Rising Pune Supergiants team. Youngster Rahul Tripathi once again continued his form.
He scored quick 38 runs off 23 balls;( 7x4s) and clean bowled by Chawla. Whereas Ajinkya Rahane was scoring well at other end was stumped by Uthappa and became a scalp of Narine at the score of 46 runs off 41 balls; (4x4s, 1×6)
Soon after Rahane dismissal Dhoni came to the crease and started his vintage kind of hitting Dhoni went and scored 23 runs off just 11 balls which include two huge sixes and one boundary. However, when MS Dhoni was looking to hit a six off Kuldeep bowling, Dhoni stepped out of his crease but the left arm chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav deceived Dhoni in the air and Dhoni stumped by Uthappa.
Captain Steven Smith took the charge and played well by rotating strikes and scoring boundaries.
Smith stayed in the crease till the last ball and scored and a very useful half century and remained 58 not out off 37 balls (4x4s, 1×6).
At the end All Rounder Daniel Christian scored useful 16 runs off just six balls, he hit two huge sixes which helped RPH to score 182 runs in 20 overs.
KKR wicket Keeper Robin Uthappa at his best got three wickets in the form stumping, great work behind the wickets by Uthappa helped KKR to stop Pune from scoring huge score.
Uthappa got MS Dhoni, Manoj Tiwary & Ajinkya Rahane respectively.
KKR lost his first wicket Sunil Narine just for s 16 runs in the form of run out.
Robin & Gambhir taken the innings to next level both batsman were hitting the boundaries all over the ground they were not showing any mercy no matter who the bowler is.
Especially Robin Uthappa has hit six sixes & seven fours of his 87 runs off just 47 balls & got out when just a few runs needed.
Gambhir scored 62 runs off 44 balls; (6x4s, 1×6) out when three runs required. Darren Bravo scored winnings runs when still 11 balls to spare.
